UKRAINE - The land for International Medical Education
Arun Kumar says, "I followed the traditional route to get into medical colleges in India -- a PCB in 10+2 with 89% marks, cleared EAMCET, PMT, AIIMS tests with lots of hard work. My grades and scores were above average, but, I could not secure admissions in India due to limited number of seats in the medical colleges and not rich enough to pay donation and I could not mobilise political or other influence. Finally I did get into government medical universities overseas with an annual tuition fees of $2,500, classes in English, and I can sit for the MCI clearing test, US Medical Licensing Exam, PLAB test and practice medicine in India, USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Europe or any other country in the world where doctors are truly needed." Arun also tells, “$100 per month gets you accommodation, three meals a day, occassional restaurant dining and entertainment. The country is very peaceful with over 700 years old history with gorgeous architecture, some cities are even listed under UNESCO list of Historical Cities. The people are very nice, the infrastructure in the university is excellent with best teaching
If you’re anything like Arun Kumar, being a doctor is all you’ve ever dreamed about since you were a kid. From your first toy stethoscope and toy doctor’s kit, to the medical shows on TV, you lived to become a doctor. It’s in Ukraine in Eastern Europe your dreams come true by studying medicine at one of the 14 State Medical Universities. Becoming a doctor is the cherished dream of lakhs of youths in our land. But the number of aspirants seeking admissions into medicine far outstrips the seats available in medical colleges. The huge demand-supply gap for the MBBS course in India has caught the attention of Ukraine and China. But China has lot of problems like poor English teachers, insufficient infrastructure, non recognization by MCI etc. Ukrainian Medical Universities are offering English course for many years and Indian students went there, studied, returned and working well in India as well as abroad. On return to India, students who have done their MBBS from Ukraine or any other foreign university have to write the MCI Screening Test. This test is designed to ensure that the candidate has the minimum standards of quality. After qualifying in this test, the candidate can start practice or compete for jobs like any other medical graduate studied in India. We have entered into an agreement with Education Agencies of Ukraine for promoting Medical course.
